My Top 5 is back! This time we called for the expertise of none other than Penny Hardaway’s Alter Ego, Corporate’s own Sneaker Dave, to break down his Top 5 Penny’s of all time. I was pleased to see his list filled with the usual fan favorites along with some sleepers and surprises. It’s easy to tell that this list was created by a sneaker lover that truly appreciates the Penny Hardaway line. One of my favorite Top 5 sneaker break downs thus far. Check it out below.

5. Air Foamposite One “Royal”

When I first seen that shoe in 1997, it was the craziest shoe I’ve ever seen up to that point. I remember staring at em on a guys feet in Mt. Airy Forest at a cook out and i was hooked. From the look, to the technology it was just insane.

4. Air Penny IV “Blk/Cool Gry/Roy/wht”

When the Penny 4 dropped, i was very in love with the design concept and color usage. My homie Herbie had the first Orlando colorway and i was jealous. The little things like the metal logos, the 3m heel, the hidden lacing system to the outsole pods made the penny 4 so cool to have.

3. Air 1/2 Cent “Royal”

I remember its was a sunny morning and i was chilling on the couch, M.T. called me and told me a new Air Penny hybrid had leaked on the net. i knew nothing about it, so i raced to the computer to see and BAM! I loved em. all the Penny’s in one shoes was so dope, and at the time that shoe took the crown of all hybrids, and i was proud to see that it was Penny.

2. Air Zoom Rookie “Wht/Blk/Wht/ (Glow)”

When I first got to hold these in my hands in October, i went crazy, the fact that a foamposite could glow in the dark was just mind blowing. The design was well executed with flight one and the L.W.P. combined, ever the carbon fiber was a great touch to this amazing hybrid.

1. Air Penny II “Blk/Wht/Roy”

Man, where do i start. Back in 1996 I saw these shoes on a kid who was in my class and that’s the Penny that started it all for me. Every single detail about this shoe is perfect. The color, the sloping midsole, 3m piping, to the outsole simply makes this shoe the greatest Nike sneaker of all time.
