My Top 5: On-Court Basketball Shoes By @iNeedKicks

This edition of My Top 5 takes it back to where my sneaker passion started. Basketball. And of course to make a list of on court basketball shoes, I had to go to someone that actually plays ball in their kicks, and that person is the homie James (@iNeedKicks). This man is a long time supporter of the site, twitter sneaker broker to the masses, Bobby Fresh rep (Use code: ineedkicks for 10% off), and an all around real dude that loves sneakers, good food, and basketball. What else do you need to know?!

Top 5 On-Court Basketball Shoes

5) NIKE SHOX BB4
Not to many people liked to hoop in them but I had pretty much ever color that dropped. I’m a big Vince Carter fan so any shoe he would wear I would get to play ball in. Wish Nike would retro them..

4) NIKE AIR ZOOM GENERATION
When Brons first shoe dropped like everyone else I was caught up in the hype. So when they dropped of course I had to get a pair lol. Was scared at first cuz they are a little lower then most bball shoes but they felt great on the court.

3) AIR JORDAN XI
The 11s were one of the first pair of Js I hooped with on the court. At first it wasn’t to bad cuz $125 wasn’t to much lol and I didn’t mind hooping in those but when the CG XI dropped and that price tag was at $170 that kinda sucked but I still hooped in them.

2) NIKE ZOOM KOBE 5 & 6
The first time I seen a pic of them I told myself there is no way I will ever hoop in those way to low. One day my dude drake was at the gym hooping in them and he said they were one of the best shoes he played in. So I got a pair and it was a wrap after that I couldn’t stop buy the kobes to hoop in.

1) NIKE ZOOM LEBRON 7 & 8
Being a big Bron fan I always check out his shoes. After the bron 3s in my opinion they got WAY to heavy to play ball in. But when the 7s came out it was over I kept buying as many as I could i didn’t care if they were GR or limited they hit the court..

Then, the Bron 8s dropped and the first style V1 wasn’t that great to play in, they were very tight but still a good shoe to play in. I played in the south beach colorway for a little but then the V2 style dropped and I just played in those. The hard part was to pick which pair to hoop in the Kobe’s or Brons lol.

Much thanks to James for working on this Top 5.. The support is greatly appreciated. This feature is a great reminder that no matter how limited or rare sneakers are, they are made to be WORN.
